450000 people streamed through the doors of the world’s largest Bi-annual agricultural machinery expo at Hanover, Germany – Agritechnica 2017.
2,803 companies from 53 countries, including the world’s largest and leading manufacturers, showed a full range of tractors, farm machinery, equipment, spare parts and accessories.
Waringa Distribution was represented at Agritechnica where time was spent with manufacturers Agri-spread and Elmer’s Manufacturing as well as connecting with providers of components and systems regarding enhancements and current projects. New opportunities are also being explored by the Waringa Team.
Electronics and sensors play an increasingly significant role in the innovation of agricultural machines and systems. This was clear to see at Agritechnica. The technologies presented include forecasting models, mechanical and chemical plant protection technology, GPS control. These displays and the drone and robotic technology were the most popular areas of interest among visitors.
It was exciting to see the developments and innovations that are being made in agriculture. The investment of machinery companies into technologies and design to allow us as farmers to intensify our productions and increase the efficiency of our machinery gives great confidence in the future of Agriculture.
The next Agritechnica takes place from the 10 to 16 November 2019 at Hanover, Germany (Preview Days on 10th and 11th) at the Exhibition Centre in Hanover and is well worth a look if you can get a leave pass from the header cab.
